This page is meant to serve as a brief introduction to all of the factions present through the Gihren’s Greed series. Links under “Main Story Events” will link to my playthroughs from Menace of Axis V and translations for New Gihren’s Greed.

Earth Federation

In the year UC 0079, the Principality of Zeon declares war on the Earth Federation. The Earth Federation Forces fight back, but are at a disadvantage thanks to Zeon’s newly developed mobile suits. After a colony drop operation and being pushed back by Zeon’s Earth invasion, General Revil, supreme commander of the Federation forces, approves “Operation V”, a plan to develop mobile suits for his own side and hopefully turn the tide of battle.

In MoA V, this large-scale campaign covers from the One Year War through Char’s Rebellion.

NGG also allows you to play Pilot campaigns as Amuro Ray (0079), Amuro Ray (CCA), and Hathaway Noa, and Commander campaigns as Tianem and Bright Noa.

Principality of Zeon

In the year UC 0079, the Principality of Zeon declares war on the Earth Federation. Zeon’s new mobile suit, the Zaku, overwhelms the Federation’s army, and soon they begin an Earth descent operation to occupy the surface. Commanded by Gihren Zabi, the oldest son of the ruling Zabi family, they seek to defeat the Federation and achieve independence for the Principality of Zeon

In MoA V, this large-scale campaign covers from the One Year War through Char’s Rebellion.

NGG also allows you to play Pilot campaigns as Char Aznable, Gaia, and Ramba Ral, as well as Commander campaigns as M’Quve, Garma and Dozle.

Titans

After the end of Operation Stardust in UC 0083, Jamitov Hymen formed the Titans as an elite military force within the Federation with the aim of wiping out the remnants of the Zeon forces. In UC 0087, the Titans entered into the Gryps Conflict against the AEUG, who oppose their violent and oppressive tactics.

AEUG

The Titans, which were formed under the pretext of wiping out the remnants of Zeon, eventually began to use more oppressive and atrocious tactics. In order to fight back against them, Blex Forer, a former Federation officer, formed a resistance group known as the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG).

In MoA V, it is possible to avoid the events of Char’s Rebellion if Quattro Bajeena remains loyal to the AEUG.

In the year UC 0083, a remnant force of the Zeon Army known as the Delaz fleet, centered on the Imperial Guard under the direct command of Gihren Zabi, declares war against the Earth Federation government. In this campaign, the enemy factions are both the Titans and the Earth Federation Forces, despite the former not existing yet in the canon timeline.

Seeking to atone for his family’s actions, Garma Zabi and his brother Dozle split off from the Principality of Zeon and form their own faction. He is forced to fight against his old friend in Casval’s Neo Zeon, as well as the Earth Federation.

Neo Zeon (Casval)

Char Aznable inherits the name of his father, Zeon Zum Deikun, and starts a rebellion in the lunar city of Granada as Casval Rem Deikun. In this version of Neo Zeon, he leads a force composed Newtypes such as Lalah and Challia, and others loyal to him in a three way battle against the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon.

In earlier versions of the game, Casval’s Neo Zeon is your first opponent after defeating the Federation in the One Year War while playing as Zeon.

Tem Ray Army

After recovering from oxygen deprivation, Tem Ray realizes that he is partly responsible for the war and raises an army to try and end it. His forces can produce units at the start that are over technology, and the pilots include engineers from across early UC, such as Astonaige, Franklin Bidan and Chan Agi.
