GO! GO! Casino

Disc 1 is ~GO! GO! Casino~, a collection of minigames.
You can play against either the Alliance or the Empire.

There are three games to choose from: billiards, concentration, and solitaire. You can also play two-player billiards and concentration, as opposed to playing against the CPU.

The options menu lets you check the current memory card slot usage. The icon for this disc is a cute animated sprite of Yang drinking tea.

This is the menu for when you select one of the two player game modes.

In the skies of love…
Billiards

Billiards Showdown!
For this game, you play 9 Ball against the CPU, which involves taking turns hitting the numbered balls into the pockets in numerical order. The person who hits the 9 ball in is the winner. You can change the angle, power, and shot type, with the rainbow line acting as a guide.

You play against five characters of increasing difficulty.
VS Empire

Opponent 1: Müller
I, Müller, will be your opponent!

[If player loses]
It seems having to face me was your misfortune. Forgive me!

(When you lose, you get a game over screen corresponding to the side you are playing as and are taken back to the title. Thankfully, you can save in between opponents.)

[If player wins]
Ugh… Those who follow will definitely avenge this grudge!

Opponent 2: Wahlen
I’m up second. Bring it on!

[If player loses]
Oh, I’d be happy to take you on anytime.

[If player wins]
Ugh… It seems I was defeated by an outlandish scheme… Sorry, I’m just talking to myself.

Opponent 3: Lutz
It looks like you’ve somehow managed to win thus far… You won’t get past me!

[If player loses]
Pride comes before a fall. Well, be grateful that we didn’t meet on the battlefield.

[If player wins]
Hmph, that was a cheap trick.

Opponent 4: Bittenfeld
How unlucky for you to face me here. Don’t take it personally!

[If player loses]
Ha ha ha, looks like the bragging rights are mine. Ah ha ha.

[If player wins]
Ugh, it’s no use. Retreat!

Opponent 5: Reuenthal
You’ve made it all the way to I, Reuenthal! But this is your grave.

[If player loses]
Hmph! Looks like you’re still no match for me. As expected.

[If player wins]
I lost! Ha… how could I lose! You’re the winner, I’ll accept it.
VS Alliance

Opponent 1: Katerose
You’re really going to challenge me? How ridiculous!

[If player loses]
See, didn’t I tell you, you’re 10 years too early to be my opponent!

[If player wins]
You don’t have to tell me I’m inexperienced! But… How frustrating!

Opponent 2: Patrichev
I will humbly be your next opponent.

[If player loses]
Oh dear~, this was quite unfortunate for you.

[If player wins]
S-stop it. This isn’t how it should be…

Opponent 3: Attenborough
Huh~, what’s an Imperial greenhorn like you doing challenging me?

[If player loses]
Come again sometime. I’ll at least give you a head pat.

[If player wins]
What do you think, I’m pretty good at feigning a retreat, right?

Opponent 4: Poplin
So you were the one who defeated Attenborough. Interesting, now you’re up against I, Poplin-sama.

[If player loses]
Oh no~ What a shame. Well, it was naive of you to think you could win against Poplin-sama. Hahaha.

[If player wins]
It doesn’t matter! Alcohol and women are more important!

Opponent 5: Schönkopf
You’ve finally made it this far. Now you’ll face off against Schönkopf of the Rosen Ritter.

[If player loses]
Well, I guess that’s that. Don’t get too worked up about it. You need to take care of yourself.

[If player wins]
How about that, what a surprise. I have to admit, this guy has some real guts.
Concentration

Concentration Showdown!
Concentration is a competitive memory match game. Both you and the CPU take turns flipping over cards to try and find those with matching rank (such as two Kings or two 10s). Each match is worth 2 points each, and the first player to 28 points wins.

Below is a gallery of some of the card art that I took screenshots of while playing.
VS Empire

Opponent 1: Mecklinger
Playing cards is quite the cultured game. Well then, I shall have the pleasure of facing you.

[If player loses]
That was unfortunate. Come now, please have a look at one of my paintings and find some peace of mind.

[If player wins]
Well I’ll be, that’s quite something.

Opponent 2: Oberstein
Concentration… It’s not so bad to waste time on something silly every once in a while.

[If player loses]
…hmph.

[If player wins]
AH~~~~!!

Opponent 3: Hilda
Oh, I’m good at playing cards too. How about a game?

[If player loses]
I guess this means that your skills are inferior to mine.

[If player wins]
I’ll admit that there are some things I’m not good at.

Opponent 4: Mittermeyer
You’ve finally appeared before I, Mittermeyer! Don’t regret it!

[If player loses]
You fought well, but you’re still no match for me. Come back after you practice!!

[If player wins]
Ugh… I lost. Losing to you is a disgrace to the name Gale Wolf.

Opponent 5: Kircheis
You’ve finally come this far. However, for Reinhard-sama’s sake, I cannot allow you past this game.

[If player loses]
You fought admirably. I thought I’d give you 200 bonus points, but this isn’t that kind of game. My apologies.

[If player wins]
R-Reinhard-sama… please win the universe.
VS Alliance

Opponent 1: Baghdash
Well, well, do you think you can best my strategy?

[If player loses]
Well~, I always have been good at Concentration!

[If player wins]
Oops, you got me. I give up, sur-ren-der.

Opponent 2: Cazellnu
What? A card game! I’m no good at fighting, but I’m considered an expert at desk work. Let’s give it a go!

[If player loses]
Losing to me, that’s pretty bad. Why don’t you leave the Imperial Forces and join the Alliance?

[If player wins]
I should have left this kind of game to Yang. All right then, back to work.

Opponent 3: Trunicht
How lucky you are to be able to meet me like this. I am the true champion of freedom.

[If player loses]
Thank you! Thank you! I am who I am today thanks to your support.

[If player wins]
Winning or losing a game is not of concern. What’s important is gaining the support of the people and winning the election.

Opponent 4: Frederica
It seems like you’ve been lucky so far, but… I’m confident in my memory. Prepare yourself!

[If player loses]
Well that’s it, too bad. Come back again.

[If player wins]
You’re really strong. And you have incredible ingenuity. I’ll have your next opponent Julian avenge me.

Opponent 5: Julian Mintz
I’m your final opponent. I’ll defeat you for sure.

[If player loses]
How was it? I’d be happy to play you again anytime.

[If player wins]
No way. Does this mean… that the cards hate me???
Solitaire

Play Solitaire!
Nothing really special here, it’s just solitaire. You play “against” Reinhard or Yang, although it doesn’t make that much sense since it’s a single player game.

VS Reinhard

I will accept your challenge.

[If player loses]
You still don’t have enough strength. Get out of my sight!

[If player wins]
I salute your valiant effort. Stay strong until the day of our rematch!
VS Yang Wen-li

The important thing here isn’t winning. It’s how to escape unscathed.

[If player loses]
It might have been a little difficult. Well, don’t let something like this get you down. If you’re patient, your chance will come again someday.

[If player wins]
Well done.
You’re awarded with a medal per faction on the save screen each time you beat one of the minigames.

Defeating the Alliance in all three minigames unlocks the Empire’s bonus movie, and likewise defeating the Empire in all three unlocks the Alliance’s bonus movie. You can watch both below with English subtitles (just make sure to turn on closed captioning). Enjoy!
